It isn’t every entrepreneur who can effortlessly shift gears daily from being a wife, mother, business owner, and working a full-time job, knowing that the initiative goal is to excel to higher heights. God gives her the ability to know that she can do all these things through Him.
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, born to the parents of Mamie and George D. Wilson and later moving to Alabama, is the oldest of 5 children. Lisa R. Blue is a product of Jefferson County Schools, graduating from McAdory High School. Lisa also completed her BA from Southeastern Bible College, studying Leadership Ministries. Also, completing her MA from Liberty University, studying Human Services, Counseling in Marriage and Family. Lisa has been employed with Southern Company for four (4) years in the Southern Power Technology department, and employed with Alabama Power (1)in the Charitable Giving Department. Prior to that, Lisa served many students at Lawson State Community College, where she assisted in the Upward Bound Math & Science Department and Student Support Department of Admissions.
Lisa, along with her husband (Lincoln) have opened a boutique, Micah’s Boutique Accessories & More and catering company I’Mani’s Catering, which are located at 1477 Hueytown Road; Hueytown, Alabama 35023. Where the mottos are Transforming Shopping Into An Awesome Experience and Catering At Its Best and are carried out with each and every customer! They carry the finest quality of clothing and take pride in assisting their customers when they come in to shop and YES they are a cut above the rest! Serving the people of the community where the need is to truly necessary, Micah’s Boutique dresses the loved one that does not have insurance. I’Mani’s Catering also has the taste of food where it is delicious and absolutely a cut above!
Lisa has an extensive record of service for assisting and working with the people of the community and truly loves it! Lisa is a member of First Baptist Church Kingston, where she has been a member for 26 years, and she takes great pride in assisting her Pastor Thomas N. Miller and has served as secretary and now co-chairwoman of the Trustee Board. She has also served as a member of the Greater McAdory Athletic Association (GMAA) Board where she was elected and served as the Treasurer. Serving the community has allowed her to be a foster parent for over 12 years, giving love and support to all children! Mentoring young girls in the Bessemer City school system with Caring Men and Caring Women has been something she takes pride in, is also her way of giving back to the community. A victim of domestic violence, Lisa has a passion to give back to the community, speaking throughout at events to support those going through this act and it is true and dear to her heart.
